General Rules and Guidelines

College Identity Card

Student ID Card rules are stated below:

  •   •   It is compulsory for every student to obtain her identity card from the college office immediately after admission
  •   •   If an identity card is lost, a new card will be issued after the student deposits a fine of PKR 100

Note: No student is allowed to enter the college without Uniform and College ID Card around his neck.

Leave Rules

  •   •   2 days leave will be taken from your teachers.
  •   •   4 days leave can be granted by the Vice Principal.
  •   •   Leave of more than 4 days will be granted by the Principal.
  •   •   In case of sick leave, a medical certificate will be attached to the application.

College Uniform

The basic purpose of wearing uniform is that the students should have a distinct identity. The college has prescribed the following uniforms for Intermediate and ADP and BS students. College students are expected to adopt simplicity as their motto. They should make their uniforms from cotton. Trouser suits will not be allowed.

  •   •   For summer: White shalwar kameez, Dopatta light pink
  •   •   For winter: White shalwar kameez, Black Shawl, black jersey or white sweater

    Sky blue dupatta (Second Year)
    Light purple dupatta (Semester 1)
    Dark green dupatta (Semester 1I)
    Maroon dupatta (Semester III)

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to adhere to the following basic principles and rules regarding the code of conduct:

  •   •   Maintaining honesty in interactions and dealings with fellow students, teachers, and everyone inside and outside the college.
  •   •   Protecting the property of the college and fellow students.
  •   •   To show due respect to elders, teachers, and visitors from outside.
  •   •   Treat everyone with courtesy and cooperation.
  •   •   Pledge that they will work hard and help teachers complete the curriculum in the shortest possible time.
  •   •   They will neither waste time nor interfere in the affairs of others.
  •   •   Will cooperate in maintaining overall peace and order in the college.

Attendance

The rules regarding attendance are listed in the following:

  •   •   The minimum attendance percentage in each subject to qualify for final examination will be 75% as per Punjab University Rules and Regulations
  •   •   In case a student leaves the college without approval of sanctioning/concerned authority and if her attendance falls below 50% in a month, she will be dropped from the College Rolls.
  •   •   The name of the student will be dropped from the College Rolls if she remains absent for 07 days in a month
  •   •  A student whose name has been dropped from the College Rolls may be allowed re-admission only once.
  •   •   Principal reserves the right to expel a student from college on account of misconduct/ failure to pull up academically

Change of Subjects

A request for change of subject must be submitted within seven days of the commencement of classes. The candidate herself must get these subjects changed from the board/university. Change from science group to arts and vice versa is not allowed.

Fee / Dues

A student's name will be dropped from the College Rolls if she does not pay the dues. Re-admission is allowed only on recommendation of Admission Committee and approval by the Principal.

  •   •   Fees will be collected along with penalties in case of delay from the due date.
  •   •   In case of non-payment of fees for one month, the student's name will be removed from the college.
  •   •   In case of expulsion, re-entry requires Rs. 50 as fee and Rs. 100 as fine, in addition to all dues.

Fee Concession

Fee Concession is granted to the deserving students in this college. The details are given here under:

  •   •   Fee concession is given to deserving applicants. Fee waiver applications will be submitted by the prescribed date as per the rules.
  •   •   Deserving female students can also be provided assistance from the Red Cross Fund.
  •   •   It may also be recommended to issue scholarships from the Baitul Mal Fund to deserving female students.
  •   •   Only those poor and needy students who are regular in classes and have a sound academic career are eligible to apply for fee concession
  •   •   Orphans can be accommodated on compassionate grounds, provided they furnish Death Certificate of the deceased parent/guardian
  •   •   Irregular, absentee and failing students in examination will forfeit their right of fee concession
  •   •   Application for fee concession or any kind of financial assistance will be verified by the parents
  •   •   Children of teachers (up to grade 15) and Hafiz e Quran reciters will be given a concession in fees as per the rules. The service certificate will have to be verified by the concerned appointing officer and an affidavit will also have to be submitted.
  •   •   Students who are receiving scholarships from the government, board or any other institution will not be given a fee discount.

How to Leave College

  •   •   At the time of migration from college, the signature of the parent or guardian is mandatory on the application.
  •   •   Female students should pay their college dues according to the rules until their names are removed from the list.
  •   •   If the student has not completed her calculations openly from the office or library, she will not be allowed to leave college.
  •   •   According to government policy, a fine of Rs. 200 per paper will have to be paid in case of skipping the December test and Pre-board papers in college.

Disciplinary Rules

In order to create a proper educational environment in the college, maintain order and inculcate good morals, the students are instructed to maintain complete discipline in the classes and playground. Ill-mannered and abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Serious and dignified behavior is mandatory in the classes. It is mandatory to follow the following instructions.

  •   •   It is forbidden to roam near the admin block.
  •   •   Female students are prohibited from sitting in the two front squares.
  •   •   It is mandatory for science students to wear white coats.
  •   •   It is prohibited to take furniture out of the classrooms.
  •   •   It is important to read the notice board daily.
  •   •   No student is allowed to take part in any kind of political/unethical activity.
  •   •   Smoking/keeping any kind of drug is not allowed within college premises.
  •   •   Mobiles/Cell Phones as per direction of Government of the Punjab are prohibited at College Campus.
  •   •   Student should behave gently within College premises.
  •   •   Wall chalking/placing any kind of poster is strictly prohibited.
  •   •   Damaging College Property is not allowed and the defaulters will have to pay for the damages.
  •   •   No student is allowed to keep any kind of arms (Licensed/Unlicensed) in her possession.
  •   •   Outsiders are not allowed to enter college premises without the permission of Principal.

Note: All teachers have the authority to instruct the students on the above rules and regulations. In case of violation, they are authorized to prescribe punishment for the students. The Principal has the authority to fine or give appropriate punishment to the students for violating the college discipline and misbehavior.
A student may be placed on probation for a specified period during which his/her behavior may be monitored. If the student fails to correct his/her behavior, he/she may be temporarily expelled from the college. When a student is suspended from the college, it means the loss of one academic year. A student suspended may be allowed to re-enter the school at the beginning of the next academic year at the discretion of the principal.
Permission to re-admit after permanent expulsion will not be granted without the approval of the Disciplinary Committee of the College and this permission will not be granted before the expiry of one academic year of expulsion from the College.
